• Industry Collaborators
  • I am eager to connect with new industry collaborators, especially those in the greater NYC community. If you’ve never collaborated with an academic deparment before, here’s my pitch: In industry, maintaining even a small team of Ph.D. trained researchers/data scientists to tackle hard problems can cost hundreds of thousands of dollars in salary alone. Academic collaboration with people like myself and my students can provide the same level of analysis and innovation at no financial cost, and all while advancing the common good. Plus I am paid by your tax dollars, so if you have an interesting problem please send me an email to set-up a meeting!

  • I’m actively taking on more projects. If you have an interesting problem that intersects with some of my work, or are looking for a new problem, please reach out over email and we can set-up a Zoom call.
• Prospective Students
  • If you’re a prospective Ph.D. candidate, please consider applying to our Ph.D. program in Operations and Decision Analytics. If specify in your application (specifically in the personal statement!) that you are interested in working with me, I will personally review your application. For more information about the program I’m happy to chat about it over email or on Zoom.
    • I am particularly interested in working with students with strong backgrounds in mathematics, and especially those who may not have considered graduate research in a business school before. As someone with a math background I understand it can feel strange, but in a Ph.D. from ODA you’ll get to work on beautiful mathematical problems that also have a deep impact on the real world. Moreover, there is a strong job market in both industry and academia for students from our field. If interested, again please reach out.
